School Information
Our School
St Mary's Catholic Infant School is one of three schools attached to the parish of Our Lady of Reparation in West Croydon, which forms part of the Archdiocese of Southwark. The other two schools are St Mary's Junior School and St Mary's High School. The school building is situated in the centre of Croydon, surrounded by mature trees, office blocks and residential property and is close to East and West Croydon railway stations, local bus routes and the Tramlink.
The school moved to its present site in Bedford Park in 1968, a Nursery was added in 1991 and the school building was extended in 1995.
The Foundation Stage includes the Nursery Class and two Reception Classes. Fifty-two children are admitted to the Nursery of which twenty-six attend the morning sessions only and the other twenty-six attend in the afternoon. The two Reception Classes each have thirty pupils.
Key Stage One comprises Year One, two classes of thirty pupils in each year group. At the end of Key Stage One the children transfer to the Junior School in the September following their seventh birthday. Strong links and good liaison between the two schools ensures continuity and progression in the children's primary school life.
